    Default Pinchy the Crawfish

This is Pinchy. He is a crawfish (although I have no idea what kind of breed he is). I got him at the local bait store as food for the Pig Frogs, but he managed to not get consumed. As he got larger and larger, we decided to keep him as a pet, so he has his own home now. This happened after I saw him consuming a minnow he took down. He's very intuitive, and he's also creative. He spends his days moving his rocks around trying to make his home ideal. He also come out from hiding if he sees me.

Has anyone else ever ended up with accidental pets that way? It makes me feel conflicted, as I didn't anticipate keeping him, but rather initially turning him into a feeder. Name: 10481678_10100314928408003_4314991749678789514_n.jpg

Crayfish are cool undemanding pets. Yours looks like a female from the pincer size and home decorating behavior .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Very nice!! I love crawfish, I had many of them as pets as a kid. My mom would make us take them back to the river after a while though. My brother and I would always try to "rescue" the ones missing pincers!

Crayfish are cool. I used to breed cpo's. Cool little critters they are.

Pinchy is a girl! I am so pleased to hear this! I read somewhere that females live longer than males. I will do the best I can to give her a good home.
