Absolutely terrible terrarium
Tried to redesign toad tank today, and words cannot describe my pure hatred for this train wreck. I honestly need help designing terrariums

Is your toad in it yet? If not, just keep moving things around until you're happy. It doesn't look bad though

It doesn't look bad. Small things can do wonders to a tank.
Remove the frog moss and replace it with Sphagnum moss. Then cover the moss in leaf liter. I bet that changes it drastically

Absolutely terrible terrarium
I'm working on a new build for Lola, of course after I destroy this one, that I really like. It's based off of Royce/Poly's american toad terrarium with the large tree stump, which is by far my most favorite toad terrarium ever! However, I still like Gail's. Anyway, in this terrarium build, two sides of the cage will be covered in either tree fern, or cork backgrounds. A small flukers waterdish will be located in the left hand corner. Then, taking up most of the cage will be a large tree stump extending in two ways, with the top part reaching up to the top of the cage. Then, a series of three mushroom ledges will be placed on the left side of the cage to the back. (Keep in mind this is a 12x12x18 exo terra) Also, ground cover is coconut fiber mixed with illinois natural clay, sphagnum moss and dead lilac bush leaves.
