    Carlos,

Yes there are 5 of them in there... Well I put 5 in there lol I haven't seen more than 3 or 4 at a time since The all hang out in the back left gorier behind the drift wood. One of them I think is living on the Polly That piece of wood is littered with holes and pockets. One of them lives under the moss on top of the wood in the front left corner. When I open the tank a little Betsileo nose sticks out and waits to see if running is an option lol.

    Lynn,

Ugh don't get me stated lol. I want to get some O pumilio. In fact unless my wife over rules me I am going to do my next tank up for them, but it is going to be an 18x18x24 and not a 24x18x24.

    Bill,

Thanks Bill! Yeah it has done a lot of filling in for 8 weeks! I love it. I have more pictures of plant growth and such, but decided last night to wait until later to do the update shots

That you Amy! This is my favorite tank of all my tanks so far. I also really like how the Vent tank turned out, but this one takes the #1 spot for my little collection. Hoping the new 40B bumps this down to #2, but I doubt it lol.

I'm going to do a very similar water feature in my 18x18x24, and I'm just curious as to how you stop the Soil from falling into the water? What's holding it back? Also, how many bags of ABG mix did that take?

Post #13 shows how I did it in this tank. Normally you do the egg crate wall up to the top land mass, but I have a couple Picos in the water and wanted them to be able to get to the whole tank.

I think it took almost 3 1 gallon bags of ABG mix to get the right soil depth (2.5 - 3 inches). Though I sloped the soil towards the door because it would of been to high.

edit: Never mind i just reread your questions. I used a small piece of drift wood on the edge of the water to hold the soil in place. I have also used rocks and pillow moss before.

Edit 2: Here is a picture of most of the wood by the waters edge. I put moss along the edge of it and under it to hide the egg crate that was still exposed.

Carlos - Just realized the thread doesn't really say is, but there are 5 Mantella Betsileo. I got them back in Feb or March, but relocated them to their new home more recently.

What water filter are you using, and where could I get it? (in store or online)

In this tank i tried something a little different. I am using the below filter and air pump.

Amazon.com : Jardin Aquarium Fish Tank Biochemical Sponge Filter Air Pump : Pet Supplies

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Previously I used something similar to this

    Amazon.com : Tetra 25816 Whisper In-Tank Filter with BioScrubber, 3 to 10-Gallon : Aquarium Power Filters : Pet Supplies

but got tired of having to hid the filter or deal with being able to see it (and hear the water splashing).

I already have that air pump, so that's good. I ordered from walmart a tetra 1-3 gallon filter, but it requires that the filter is almost submerged all the way, and I would have to have 6 inch deep water for that. I think I'll order that one, thanks Paul.
