So I am getting my vivarium within the next few days and am wondering what my lighting set up should be. Since I'm getting a 60cm wide viv I was thinking the exo terra 60cm compact canopy along with three of these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/HEMME-Spiral...ords=6500k+cfl
This in my searching seems to be the cheapest solution since I can get the canopy for less than £30 and £17 for the three lights. But I don't know if these will fit the canopy? The description seems to try and force you to buy their own bulbs which gives me the idea that they have changed the design of their own so that they are the only brand that fit the canopys. But obviously I don't want to spend £15 on one bulb, when the 6500k bulbs from amazon would help my plants grow just as well...
ExoTerra 60cm (24 in.) canopy with compact fluorescent bulb connectors uses standard bulb threads. Any similar bulb brand should work as long as you do not exceed the fixture's maximum wattage .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
