If I need to move the frogs for whatever reason, is it better to pick them up while they are sleeping? Is it better when they are already awake and hunting?
Don't really matter.
Personally, I have yet to get into any of my frog tanks when they are sleeping and not have them instantly awake regardless of how careful I am. A light sleeping frog is the one that lives the longest in the wild and old habits die hard.
My frogs seem like they were raised in the suburbs.....lol. They just stay sleeping while I clean the tank.
I sure my frogs like the word "scatter" because they really shift when I go into their habitats
My Red Eye Tree Frog's do the same (sleep even while moving the tank) and sometimes even when I'm moving the leaf they are on. The one that sometimes wakes up is the female, but she's new still and is also getting into the habit of staying asleep even when I'm changing the water bowls in their tank. All three are farm raised, according to pet shop owners.
I also wonder if it's better when they are awake or sleeping. I would think awake though because I don't think anyone likes to be bothered when sleeping.
