    Default How many Frogs?

So it is coming ever so closer for me getting my D. Leucs and I was wondering how many I should have with my Vivarium?

Here is the Viv as it stands now.

It is a Exo-Terra 30x30x45cm model, with a false bottom.

I am struggling to keep the humidity above 50% - However once I get glass cut to fit the top and seal it in place hopefully that will sort this problem out. Either that or my Digital Thermo/Hydo meter is buggered (I dunno how to reset it - I have taken out the batteries etc but still get the same readings... I used to get 70-90% humidity when I first put the reader in the Viv but it has dropped drastically). I will be buying some analogue ones to confirm this either way.

Also I will probably be either buying a fogger or making one using a humidifier.

    Any help is appreciated.

Myself recommend a larger 45Lx45Wx60H cm. enclosure as a minimal for darts; so would not keep more than a couple in yours due to size. Never the less; your vivarium decor and planting looks nice .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I agree with Carlos on the size and number of frogs. The tank looks amazing! Adding glass to the top will absolutely help keep the humidity up where you want it. How ever many frogs you get I think they are going to love it.

My Advice would be to get a couple and watch them in it and see if it looks like they are crowded. If not than add a couple more after that. Better to undershoot the first go round than to have it over crowded and be in an even worse position.

So you guys reckon three is a crowd then? haha. Will getting two and adding another if they seem ok cause territorial problems between the new and existing frogs?

My plan was to get 3 and then maybe try and breed them - I am already thinking (and trying to persuade the missus) of building a larger Vivarium - but space is tight as I only live in a one bedroom flat/apartment.

Thank you for the kind words though - It has took me long enough to get this thing up and running ^_^
