In short, what are the best ones of these to get? For accurate readings and quality.
I have been using the exo terra ones but the readings sometimes seem off and if I sprinkle it with water by accident sometimes it goes off for a while.
I bought an All Living things one but haven't tried it yet.
Recently bought a National Geographic one that I like so far.
I also bought the National Geographic one, just the other day. It seems to be reading right on with my exo terra. I think the accuracy of some of these depends on what you're using them for. I'm using them with grey tree frogs, who I do not need to mist regularly because the water dish has a bubble stone in it which seems to maintain the humidity really well. I think if it was a species that needed a higher humidity and required daily misting, I might run into trouble with them. As far as I've seen though, the digital therm/hygrometers that do really well run pretty expensive.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
I have an Exo Terra digital and a ZooMed analog. Both of them will tell me that I have great humidity (60-80%) when I can tell that the substrate is too dry or too wet. I get the feeling that I am not using them correctly, somehow. I wish I could get ones to stick into the coir to tell me if it needs more water.
