Hi guys i found this cool vivarium on YouTube, i need help identifying these plants. (just the small hanging ones)
The video is not mine its Justin Grimm's! YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yux-TskkreI
Hello Sphinx,
I'll try to help. Maybe Bill will chime in. He's our walking/talking 'plant guy'. He's like a resident field guide
Possibilities
Pyrrosia nummularifolia
If so, it can take on a very different appearance depending it's environment...light etc.. This plant is not really easy to find.
some photos...( one of those silly google photo collections )

There is a Peperomia species that looks similar, but the leaves are larger/thicker. It's difficult to determine the size of the leaves in your photo .
It may be mistaken for Pyrrosia nummularifolia of which is a marginal. This plant would have lots of little hairs. - I believe.
Then there is Pellaea rotundifolia which is actually fern, but more commonly found for sale. A woodland plant.....my favorites.
I actually just pick up 2 cuttings of this plant recently. I prepped them, set them on the soil .....and off they go ! Nice plant
The hanging/trailing plant in the photo of the enclosure ( back R) has an oblong shape leaf and could be a 'lance leaf' ficus?
BTW- welcome to Frog Forum

Peperomia prostrata
Thanks Lynn, for your input!
Another question though.. does anyone know if it is safe to put crotons and or Poinsettias into a RETF vivarium? I know that when broken they can be harmful to frogs but I've seen a couple of vivs with them.
I would avoid using Euphorbias, their sap can be rather damaging (I think I have another post on here on the dangers of pencil trees). Croton sap can be irritating as well, I would probably only use them with smaller frogs I was sure wouldn't be breaking leaves. The plant in the pictures is most definitely Peperomia prostrata grown so that it is hanging down, most likely as an epiphyte, though you usually see it as a ground cover.
Yes, Grimm on the Dendroboards can have a huge variety of plants in his tanks! he may have a list of them on any of his threads relating to plants.

Frog vivs are far too high humidity for a poinsettia in the US, i believe. Crotons are okay for smaller species or those that are not heavy enough to snap a leaf. Though they are woody and their overgrown roots may present a problem over some time. Like euphorbias, dischidias also have an irritating sap but they are still considered safe for use on frog vivs. Depends on how adventurous your frog is really if he/she is a clumsy fella
