    Unhappy Frog Heart Attack!?

So, I was feeding my American Bullfrog Gnag, who's male, and about 5 and a quarter inches snout to vent now. I was using tongs and was feeding a Hornworm, and he lunged for it and grabbed it in his mouth. I raised the tongs out of the tank, but he squirmed around with the Hornworm, spat it out, opened his mouth really wide - and then he went completely limp. My heart just stopped then for 15 seconds or so, it seemed like he was dead. His second eyelids were over his eyes, he was floating, and motionless, not even breathing. And then, as I slowly began to scoop him up with my hand he just jolted into action, swimming over and under his driftwood faster than I've ever seen him go. In an act of stupidity and just freaking out, I lifted it up and pushed him out from under it into the main area so he could breath or not be trapped (he's getting a bit too big for his driftwood cave), and he flipped onto his back, squirmed a bit, righted himself (And I still feel really, really bad about that), and then began to calm down. This was about 10 minutes ago.

Right now, he seems ok, he's breathing fine but incredibly jumpy and scared, and he's a frog that rarely shows fear of anything. I'm still shaking and I don't know what on earth just happened. Please, someone explain if he'll be ok or something. I can't imagine losing my Gnag, he's still such a young frog and I've watched him grow up, from a tiny froglet to the fat but incredibly adorable monster he is today (On a sidenote, he is considerably obese).

    Update:

The Gnag is doing good, and after some simple thought and logic I'm going to conclude that either the Hornworm blocked his airway, causing him to choke and spit it out, and with the intake of a large amount of air, fainted for the 15 seconds before I awoke him or, the momentary depletion of air due to the Hornworm caused him to faint. Either way, Gnag has been normal since, and ate a large portion of 12 crickets the other night. I'm going to abstain from feeding him Hornworms or large Earthworms from now on to prevent another event like this from occurring, and wait until he is around 6 inches snout to vent instead of five and a quarter to feed him larger prey.
