Or at least a few.
I'm over my parent's house, and in their pool cover is literally about 1000 tadpoles. My dad is just going to dump bleach in there and get on with opening the pool.
However, I have never raised frogs (toads?) up from tadpoles.
Can someone give me a crash course on it? And about how many should I take out? Or could I just take them all to a pond and let them go?
Help!
You need to some how convince him to NOT dump bleach in their until A they are safely moved, fully develop or you raise them. Also what type of tadpoles are they? (post some pics please if you can). I would recommend moving them to a safe location and if you want raise some yourself. It's important to know the species of the frog, b/c many species have cannibalistic tadpoles. Thus when we know the ID we can offer better/more specific instructions. But you will need an aquarium/plastic bins, frequent water changes, fish flakes/pellets and/or small aquatic insects for food. Keep us updated and good luck!
