Well I'm certainly not satisfied with my frog's set up at the moment. I have two fire bellies in a 40 gallon tank (i got the tank for free when searching for a 10 gallon and was like, why not? free tank!).
Anyway, what's really frustrating with this set up is that it's primarily water and the tank itself is HEAVY. I don't have a water vac or even a bucket so I actually have to take some of the water out with a pitcher and then carry the entire thing to the bath tub when doing water changes.
Soooo, I'm wanting to do something with a water dish and either substrate or a liner at the bottom. (probably a liner considering even while empty this tank is HEAVY.)
I was hoping some of you could either show me pictures (for inspiration purposes) or give me ideas on how to make it look pretty .
Also, I would prefer the land with water dish because crickets are dumb and keep drowning despite there being at least 5 different dry areas they can climb on.

There are plenty of pics around of fbt vivs, just search around in that subforum and in this one and you should find some. You can also do a search on the net for their natural habitat for jnspiration
You can remove water from the tank using a piece of aquarium airline tubing and siphoning it out. Out a valve on the end and you can keep the suction as long as there is water in the tank. Just close the valve when you have enough water out, then open again when you have to drain again.
Unfortunately, crickets are simplex creatures, without complex brains, so they don't know any better. You can feed in a glass bowl about 2-3" high and the crickets cannot get out of the bowl. Takes the frogs a bit to get used to eating from the bowl, but most get the hang of it pretty quickly.
