Hi,
I have 3 african dwarf frogs in a 60ltr tropical fish tank which also houses some fish. 2 of my frogs are of a healthy weight but another is extremely underweight. I have been feeding it extra bloodworm and sinking pellets, however he will not eat much. I also tried isolating him at feeding time and also feeding him underneath a coco cave so he was by himself and he didn't seem intetested at all! I'm quite worried ad this is my first time keeping frogs and they seem happy enough apart from this little guy, is it just that he is in a community tank and is losing out on food?!
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!
Hello and welcome to FF! Mixing fish with ADF is not a good idea since the fish eat way faster than the frogs and you will stress all of them trying to isolate frogs to feed.
You could try to isolate frog inside a large net and see if it will eat in there. If that does not work; would then tranfer the underweight frog to a tank by itself and keep it there until it eats well and looks normal. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
