Default Pic of my buddy "lil bruiser" :)

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd post a pic of lil bruiser. He's been eating a lot better...if my count is correct, he had 6 crickets last night. I saw home get up and move around until he found his new "nook" spot. Maybe he is d enough to where his feeding slows down..? I read that as they get older they don't eat as often. Not sure how that could be true, but....?

They eat less because they need less nutrition to maintain their body mass. They are also only active during feeding and breeding. They spend most of their lives burrowed into the ground awaiting prey to ambush. Also they aestivate for months during the dry season living off stored fat and water.

I think most animals need to eat less frequently as they mature... kittens and puppies need more meals in a day than adults, same is true for reptiles, I would think amphibians follow this pattern. Like Col/Jer said, maintaining weight takes less energy and nutrition than growing.

How long have you had Lil Bruiser? I'm curious about how fast pacmans grow. Mine are still all little guys.
