We are definitely having strange weather here, the last 3-4 days were nice, sunny a bit cold nothing major.. woke up to snow this morning and its still snowing outside, Cedar is buried in the substrate not as deep but like he usually is with his head out so whatever was going on he/she got over it or just gave up trying to get out lol.

I believe your frog may have pooped and you may not have noticed. They will usually through a fit to get your attension to remove the poop.

Possible, I changed out the substrate like I said when they were acting weird so maybe that helped, last night I turned on the moonlamp for a while before bedtime, went in and cedar pooped in the water dish, which was a first usually it is on top near the plant, anyway cleaned n sanitized and he just settled in the substrate and chilled out the rest of the night
