I just got my RETF yesterday and his eye isn't adjusting to the light. I've only seen him awake twice but both times, his one pupil was much bigger than the other... also, his eye isn't as bright of a red as the one that is adjusting to the light... any tips would be nice, as I've never owned a red eye and can't seem to find anything about this online.
Do you have any pictures of this? Does the eye look cloudy? In another thread it was said that cloudy eyes can be a bacterial infection and needs to see a vet and get some eye drops.

I don't have any pictures of it, as I've been letting my frog adjust to it's new home... It has been sleeping since I got it, so I don't want to disturb it... the eye isn't cloudy at all, like the other persons frog, it's just not adjusting... When my frog is comfortable in it's new home, I will take a picture of his eye.... Also, there isn't a reptile vet where I live and I haven't been able to find anyone who ships the medication, to canada.
Hi Robert,
Your frog needs a much longer time to adjust sometimes as long as a month.
Be sure to provide the proper humidity, complete darkness at night, and a shallow soaking dish with de-chlorinated water ....only.
There are many, many threads to read .... new /adjusting / quarantine for red eyed tree frogs etc.
