Allow me to explain, a few months ago I built (added) an extra 12 inches to a 12x12x12 exo-terra vivarium, which left me with a 12x12x28. In terms of decoration, the back and the two lateral parts of the tank are covered up and opaque, which only leaves the front of the vivarium transparent.
Naturally, this makes the tank extremely dark in normal day-light, and when I put on the 30cm Exo-terra canopy with a 2.0 uv bulb (exact details I will edit when I get home).
With this turned on, the first 18 inches are bright and lovely and perfect, (the light coincidentally stops as soon as it hits the original border of the vivarium at 12'', leaving the last 12'' really dark and nothing grows in it.
So, Is there a bulb I can put on the top that will be bright enough to shine and illuminate the whole tank? 12' in length isn't much to play with but I'd like some advice from people who are well versed in lighting (which I clearly am not).
I can provide pictures and expand explanations if necessary
Thanks!

At that height, the only viable option is going to be led lighting. The problem is finding something that short (12"), in a color spectrum that the plants will like. I'm not really sure if anyone makes that length. You may need to do a bit of online shopping.
