Hi there just received a Chinese mantis from my friend truffs1178 unfortunately it had a bad molt, it still climbing and eating fine ( quite tame too) but it has a crooked leg I fear it may lose in its next molt is there any way I could crimp the leg where it's bent so it's straight for its next molt.
-cheers monza geckos
ps I called it mikasa (from attack on Titan) as I suspect it's a female
Nice mantis! Have no idea how that would work with a mantis; but do know that you can cut off a spider broken leg (right before damaged joint) and that will prevent future molting issues.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I love mantis! There are huge green ones all around my house in the warmer months. She's a cutie but I'm not sure about the leg though, sorry. Hopefully she'll be okay!
So should I cut it off as she won't be able to molt like that
