    Default New to frogs.

I have had a clawed frog (Michigan) in my class for a few months now and he is doing well. We are about to introduce a couple more with the tadpoles we are raising. My purpose in becoming a member is to make sure I do this right and Michigan and tadpoles do not suffer at the hands of a novice and 24 five year old children. That would just be WRONG.

I have been teaching primary children for ten years and have never had a class pet, but Michigan has become a much loved member of our class.

Great you are doing this for your students.
But you will want to keep Michigan separate from the tads and even froglets until they are big enough not to be eaten by Michigan.
Frogs will eat just about anything that moves that they can fit into their mouthes.
    Sadly they are
    cannibalistic.

    So you
will be keeping two tanks for a while.

Keep us posted and please post pictures.

The tads are separate, and I have a little 1.7 Gal tank that Michigan lived in for a while (until I started learning about their space). I figured the little guys can occupy the two smaller tanks until they get big enought to go in the permanent tank. I'll see if I can get good pics of the babies and Michigan's new bigger home
