I've had 2 acf living together for about a year. I thought I had 2 males. I thought I saw black claws develope on both when they were growing into adulthood. But I don't see the black on both anymore. One is small and slender (with some black on the claws), the other one is almost twice as big plump and chubby. Do you think maybe I sexed them wrong and I actually have one male and one female?
It's possible. Some of my female ACF have 'dirty hands' but never to the degree of an actual male clawed frog. If it's huge, fat, and has a cloaca 'bump', it's probably a lady frog.
Post a couple of pics for verification, but it is likely a female if it is like Michael said "If it's huge, fat, and has a cloaca 'bump'
"
