So am still in research mode for PDF's and scenarios keep popping up in my mind. In August I intend to take a weeks vacation and this inverably raised concerns about how to take care of the frogs while I'm gone. Now I intend to make an automatic hygrometer with a solenoid that will control humidity levels with a fogger, similarly for temperature heat pad but since it will be August that should not be a problem. What could be a problem is too high a temperature. If I don't leave the AC running the temp could get up into the mid 80's, probably too high for the little guys. Is that true? Another alternative to leaving AC on would be to put them in a smaller tank in the basement where it's always cooler.
What about feeding? How do people handle that?
You have to find a responsible person that will feed any pet that requires feeding during vacation period. Another option is to board them with someone who will provide care for them. A person with frog experience is invaluable in those cases .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
