    Default Help with foam background

I did the background waited about 16 hours or so and put silicone on and substrate, then waited overnight. Next day set the tank up and brushed off substrate that was loose, it's been sitting for about a little over a day and the foam has started to separate from the glass ( there are spaces where a frog could climb behind and get stuck) so my question is can I go back in the way it is and fill in gaps with more foam or how do I go about getting the foam off to completely restart? Please help!

You can fill it with more foam, or, if it is in an inconspicuous spot, fill it with aquarium filter floss.

Spray foam normally needs a minimum of 24 hours to cure. I normally wait 48 hours or more for it to cure. Disturbing it before it fully cures causes shrinkage, as you found out.

Forgot to mention, remember that if you fill the spot in with more foam, it will expand and may cause even more if a gap than you started with.

If you choose to start over, the foam will pull off the glass and you can scrape the remaining material off with a razor blade.

Default Re: Help with foam background

So I can just pull the foam off without the glass breaking or having any other problems?

Yup, with some caution, of course. I have never broken a tank from removing the foam.
