i got some super worms for my bearded dragon at the pet store. I decided to see if one of my wild caught gray tree frogs would like to eat one. he took it very quickly, but the worm was pretty big and it stuck out of his mouth for a few moments before he could swallow it all the way. once he had swallowed it, i could see it still squirming around inside of him. it is no longer moving inside of him, but is he alright to eat a super worm? there's not much i can do now, but is it okay to give him more in the future? I've been just feeding him crickets and that's it. any advice is appreciated, thanks.
I wouldn't use them for the grey's, to big & hard shell. I would be concerned about impaction. The hard crunchy feeders are more for things that chew their food, i.e. lizards & turtles.

I kept a small male wood frog on a mostly super worm diet for about a year with no ill effects. I don't see why it would be much different for a gray. They die pretty quickly in their stomach acid, but they do roll around in there for a bit. Pretty freaky looking but nothing to worry about. Some people also claim that super worms can chew their way out of your frog . . . don't believe them.

Superworm shells are thinner and softer then mealworm shells. Impaction risk is not as high as mealworms.
<~~very cautious on feeders, fear of impaction and I've had phoenix worms come out live in my Fowler's toads.
