please help is this normal? It's burrowed in the cold side in the moss. Is it estivating?

It is perfectly normal for them to burrow completely down into the substrate. They will come out at night to feed, then return. They will burrow like this for several reasons - to feel safe, to cool off, etc. It is normal.
