    Question sterilizing

How do i make a leaf litter safe for pacmans. Is leaf litter even needed for them? Do they like it? There are 2 huge magnolia trees at my church that i can collect leaves from. (Don't worry i am going to ask if they spray them with pesticide) just how do i make them clean?

Are you planning on using the leaves as a substrate or decor? If for substrate I wouldn't recommend because the frog wouldn't be able to burrow and hide properly. Now for decor. Anything from the outside isn't recommended either. I don't know how these leaves will hold up in heat but I know some people will soak outside items in an iodine solution then bake them in the oven at 350 for about ten minutes. This method applies for rocks and wood. I'm not entirely sure either so anyone else please chime in to make sure I'm not missguiding. And yes definitely make sure the trees haven't been chemically treated in any way, along with the grass the leaves touch. But overall I would say its way easier to buy store bought decor and substrate.

I'm not opposed, but I don't need more than like 6 leaves. Hmm you all were very helpful, and I thank you but I'm going to buy my leaves because it's to iffy with pesticides. I don't want the risk. thank you! ~michael
