Hi all, I am new here and new to tree frogs
I recently adopted a white lipped tree frog. I noticed a dark patch on her back, thought it was normal colour changing behaviour but it isn't going away.
Thoughts?
And thank you.

This is just a shot in the dark but is there any heating devices that might get the glass hot.
That could be a burn.
Thanks for the reply
The frog can't contact the light. I have the (uv) light at the top and it is covered with wire so can not be reached.
other than the discoloration is the frog behaving normally.
Eating well ect ect
Yep, happy, healthy... seem bright and eager to chase food
How long have you been keeping this frog.
what kind of enclosure do you have it in.
know you said that the lights are not an issue, thats good.
Hopefully some one that has seen this before will chime in and give us a clue.
other wise I would just keep a close eye on it and make sure it doesn't get worse.
but keep feeding as usual and note any changes.
That permanent dark area does not look normal and could be a skin burn, like Louis mentioned. See that you mention a UV light; what type of UV bulb and wattage is it? Also, could you please answer the below questions to see if there is something else to look at? Thank you !
