Would it be safe to mix a mudskipper and/or fire belly newt with my FBT? It would be in a 10 gallon tank with a lot of land and water . I will make more caves.

I wouldn't. 10 gallons is way too small for a multi species tank. There's no room to break sight lines, and in a small tank, things happen very quickly. So if something goes wrong, it will go very bad, very fast. Not to mention that if they have different care requirements, there's no way to keep such a small ecosystem stable in such a small tank.

Don't know if it would be safe to mix them but wow that is one cute mudskipper. Didn't know you could even buy those in the US. How are they to keep as pets?

Well in the U.S, you won't find them at your local pet shop. You would have to order them online . Their quite fascinating animals !

Mmmmm I see. So it's better to keep 1 predator in a small tank to resemble a stable ecosystem .

Correct. And if I remember correctly, mudskippers prefer brackish water??

    In a 10, I still wouldn't mix. Too small.
