Is Tahitian moon sand a good substrate for my African dwarf frogs? I am feeding them by hand or in a small dish inside their tank. I have heard its great for fish but what about my frogs? I also have live plants in my tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CaribSea Tahitian Moon Sand Reef is a fine, black, non-buffering aquarium substrate. If used with live plants it will provide zero nourishment to them and tank will require plant supplements (see Seachem plant products). Also, since it is non-buffering might need to check out your pH depending on tank set-up if using filter or not. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I do have live plants. These chemicals that I will need to add for the plants won't harm my frogs right? I am also using a filter and check my water every other day. The guy at pet co said the moon sand would not affect my ph but I will keep a close eye on it. It just arrived today so I will be changing over the tank this weekend. Thank you for your advice.
