When I got my new tank to set up, the salesperson ended up being very successful in selling me some products. However, I am not sure how necesary of if anyone on this forum has even heard/uses the product. One, called Microbe lift is supposed to help with setting up new tanks, however it does not say when to add it ANYWHERE on the box.
I USUALLY use betta bowl plus. It has seemed to work for me thus far, and again, was a recommendation from the sales person.
Anyways, I have heard of Seachem Prime
Never heard of this, but it is supposed to maintain (healthy!) microbes?
And I was wondering if this is a good product. It is apparently the most gentle of filters one can possibly get, reducing harsh currents.
However, it was recommended I use a bubble stone, which I STILL have no clue on how to use, or at least attach to the filter.
I do plan on going to the pet store relatively soon, but I wanted some feed back from people who are FROG experts as opposed to little fishies.
Also this is the tank I am cycling
I have added some fish flakes, reptomin (for frogs) and some of these shrimp pellets.
Hopefully I shall post my readings after work and see how they are doing in the tank. Then, when it reaches around 2-4 I add the microbe lift?
I honestly feel this man may have been more help if the store wasn't understaffed and he was going about 20 directions at once while trying to explain everything to me.
