This is a shameless showing off thread (sorry!).
So I seem to have a lot of luck lately. 2 weeks ago I got the weekly cover photo of Amphibia Web with this photo:
Last year I got the cover with this photo:
And I just loaded up the site to get some field herping info and now it has this photo on it:
I had to give Kurt credit for the patience he had to get the frog to fly just right.

Very impressive photos you have there. Wish I had a camera of that caliber. Mine come out all blurry and such and it's a 10 megapixel!
very impressive! that last picture is quite incredible, as I've taken lots of animal photos, I can really appreciate how frustrating that probably was. Dont feel bad showing off, its your website! and you take great photos.
Well personally John, Im surprised you don't have a whole magazine full of your photo's. They are very professional. Your album photo's are amazing especially the album (Ranitomeya imitator "Tarapoto").
Amazing pictures John.
Congrats. I saw Amphibiaweb today before logging on here, so I have already sent you an e-mail about this great honor.
Congratulations, what amazing pictures.
Our photo didn't make the cover this time but we did get a mention underneath the photo, again about the flying frog photo:

I wonder if this photo with get us to the head of the line at exclusive night clubs. So very cool, yet again.
This week again! This one is especially sweet because normally they don't choose captive amphibians for the cover photo. However, this frog makes a good exception because it is from Understory Enterprises, a company that puts all of its profits into Peruvian conservation, and which is the only legal dart frog exporting entity operating in Peru right now.
