    Default Everyone meet pico!

Ok so all summer I've been looking for either a leopard or pickerel frog to add to my house, wanted a active species to go in a planted tank, well I lucked out and found one! On a day that temps were only in the 40s no less, it was on the patio at my parents so I snagged him, warmed him up, fed him and now it's super active! Still looks fairly young since locals get much larger than this. But here he is! And help on EXACT species would be grand! ***this was a temp setup for a DAY at my parents till I got home!****

Great find and a very nice frog! Here is a good care article about them: Frog Forum - Leopard Frog Care - Rana pipiens (Schreber, 1782) and R. sphenocephala (1886) .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Oh, he is so cute! I love him! Congrats on the new froggie! I have 3 Southern Leopard Frogs myself. They're relatively chill. Most of the time they're being creepers in the water with their eyes poking out. They are also little piggies. Hehe. Have you thought about getting him a friend? My babies seem to do great with each other.
