Default how many adult pacman frogs could i fit in a 55 gallon tank?

now before anyone gets upset or anything,i know the preferred size tank for a fully grown pacman frog is a 10 gallon tank,

    but i'm curious..

how many adult pacman frogs could i fit in a 55 gallon tank if i properly divide the tank into sections??
( making it impossible for the frogs to see eachother through the dividers)

i dont want to give them a lack of space, but i also dont want to give them Too much space either

    any thoughts/advice/comments are welcome

    thanks

It depends on the measurements of the tank really, each adult frog requires about 18x18x18.

Or less depending on a size of a frog, when dividing tank you should make sure dividers are waterproof and not see through.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

Adults don't require an 18" cube. A 10 gallon tank is the absolute largest they actually need. Adult males can live comfortably in a 12" cube. Females usually require a little more space, but not much more. They are happy in small enclosures. As Lija said though, this all depends on the size of the frogs in question.

Thanks for correcting me Grif! I din'd know that and this also means I can keep my adult males in the curvers I've bought! Great to hear!

Yes they can live in there. Unless there isn't enough room for a good water dish they are quite happy in smaller enclosures.

There absolutely is. They took me a while to hunt down, but I have found curvers that are exactly 12x12x14! Currently I only have one in use for my cornuta, but I have some more in storage. And to think I got them for 2$ each.

This is true. I think the 18x18x12 is a little overkill unless you have a large female. For a male it is way more than enough. My ornate is in one 18x18x12 and he only uses 45% of the whole thing hahaha, buddy boy does not move for over a week sometimes. I'm thinking of transfering to my 10g soon and use the 18x18x12 for my growing pyxie.

My advice would be don't, because there is a chance one frog could harbor a pathogen and get all others sick. If that is not a consideration or plan to breed them, then it depends on the species. C. cranwelli and other small species, could fit 4 males or 3 females. C. ornata and C. aurita grow bigger so maybe 3 males or 2 females. Good luck and do divide the tank as Lija recommended in post no. 3 !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I'm using an 18x18x12 for my adult male cranwelli. I think its just a tad too big, but he doesn't seem to mind. He might actually have a down grade in the future.

7-10 gallons a piece would be good, unless your housing ornate s. The only major concern you might have is, you will need some dark colored dividers. if not this could stress your frogs out seeing each other.

I would worry about what Carlos said, with pathogens being easier to spread. I'm sure it can be done safely but sounds like a lot of trouble.

lol, if you do it definitely make sure they can't see each other. Trevor can see one of my baby garters through her tank and reacts to him all the time (I think it's the frog equivalent of a cat watching a bird-feeder... And the snake seems blissfully unaware of it all).
