    Default Tuko's first mouse

I finally fed Tuko a frozen thawed small mouse today. I was told by one guy to never feed mice but then I read that occasional is ok. So this is perhaps, her once a year treat. But I am not sure if she liked it. Here is a link to the video on instagram Instagram I stopped videoing after she grabbed it because she just sat there for like a minute or two. Then I resumed.

Thoughts on how often to feed a mouse? Yearly? Every 6 months. I have to admit it was fun to watch.

    Thanks,
    Carole

If its an appropriate sized mouse/hopper/fuzzy/pinky once a month is fine. I feed a mouse around every six or seven weeks. Usually just when I have company over.

hehe, when company is over is the best. Thanks. I dont want to overdo it. I swear this frog has grown in the last week (before the mouse).

    Thanks!

Mice are like the double quarter pounder with cheese meal super sized. Very tasty to frogs, just not the best food. Great treat food though.

Mine has never liked mice. She took one once and never wanted another; she does love occasional f/t silversides though. As long as you don't feed more than once a month or a little longer mice are okay.

My gut feeling after watching her is she might not take another mouse. It took her awhile to actually eat it. hehe. We shall see, maybe we will try another at Thanksgiving or Christmas

    Thanks

That is a good feeding schedule for mice. I plan on feeding my Mojo a mouse both thanksgiving and christmas. Well not mouse but a hopper.

Once they get the taste, it's like a hungry vampire hunting for blood. I haven't heard of a single pacman yet that doesn't love mice. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong guys.
