My neighbors have a grey tree frog they can not care for, it is wild caught and only an inch long. I have read several care guides but whats the minimum tank size even temporarily? I will buy supplies as I go.
I know grey tree frogs have very similar care to green tree frogs Hyla cinera
and the forum had a grey tree frog caresheet but i cant seem to find it :/

A 10 gallon would be fine when it's young, but taller than the standard fish tank is more ideal. One of those 18x18x24 exo-terras would be good for an adult or two, a larger tank wouldn't be wrong though. Getting usable perches near the top of the tank is also important. Care sheet:

Glad I'm not the only one. I think it was bumped off the 'Care Article' page and I can't see how to get to page 2 or if there is a page 2...I find it by googling 'grey treefrog caresheet' and it's usually near the top. Sad I know, but it works.
That doesn't say the minimum for a lone frog. I have a spare 10 ... Or will soon. I was hoping a 12x12x18 would be good because its the only terrarium I can currently afford.
Please take a look at this article and see if you can modify your ten gallon vertically: Frog Forum - Building Dart Frog Terrariums / Tropical Terrarium Construction . If doing this, remember to increase ventilation. The only solid area needed for tree frogs is the bottom front to prevent substrate from falling out. Then keep saving your $ until can afford an ExoTerra 18x18x24 in. Sometimes can get good deals around the end of November or maybe in local Craiglist. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I had two in a mini-tall exo-terra and they both seemed comfortable and happy. Green and Gray Tree Frogs are relatively small, so one would definitely be ok in the 12x12x18 mini-tall.
I just got my boyfriends permission to get him if they decide they no longer want him I will certainly get the Mini-tall when I can. I am picking up crickets for the little man tonight.
Ok I read the care sheets and all but it does not say how often I should be feeding what. Whats the best primary diet and how often should I be substituting what?
Staple diet is crickets, and unfortunately I do not know what is a good idea for treats/alternatives. I've heard people feed nightcrawlers, dubia roaches, various kinds of worms, but I only feed crickets to my little guys. Feeding should be at least every other day, dusting with calcium+d3 supplement during these feedings, with a vitamin supplement dusting once a week (as I've recently been told again and reaffirmed for the fifth time). You can feed between days, or every day if you would prefer even, but the dustings can only be done every other day to prevent calcium overdose.
How many crickets at a time?
I feed Turkish roaches, also called red runners, and use wax or butter worms as treats. I use crickets once in a while, and they also LOVE moths. Feed as many as it wants, really can't over feed a baby. If it starts to get to fat, just cut back on the quantity or feed ever 2 or 3 days instead.

I just put half a dozen small crickets in his tank ... He immediately ate one <3 SO CUTE ... I kinda want a frog now lol. But with so many other animals I will only get one if one needs a new home or rescue.
Do they require hybernation or can they happily live at the same temps year round? I am trying to decide which frog to start out with, grays or whites tree frogs. Thanks.
Neither Grey's or White's require hibernation, unless you are conditioning for breeding. If undecided recommend read their care articles in this section, maybe that will help make up your mind: Frog Forum - Care Articles .

Is there a guide to how much to feed? that seems to be my only reoccurring question. half a dozen small per frog per week would be fine right?
