    Default Tree frog dead

    I came home to find my White's Tree frog one it's back, dead. I was just curious how this could have happened, and if it is possible for it to have landed on it's back whilst jumping, killing it. It's legs are sprawled out as if it may have jumped, so I wouldn't assume it managed to roll itself onto it's back.

    Hello Maxwell,

    I'm sorry to hear you have lost your frog, it is a terrible to go trough and so sad.

    After they die ( unassisted ) they will stretch their legs out. I have not witnessed this;
    but embers have taught me this as this is often how the frog's position is described when found.
    I doubt , very much, he died from falling/jumping?
    Sadly, sometimes they have an illness we are unaware of.

    If you are up to it, we can try to help determine what might have happened?
    You could cut , past and answer the questions from trouble in the enclosure which might reveal some answers?

    This is certainly not necessary. However, these questions are a great learning tool.
    Knowing them, helps us to anticipate their care and be reminded of their most important needs.

    Sincerely, Lynn
