So I am building my pacman forg tank and I was wandering if dried silicone is safe to use in a frog tank?
I assume it is since it becomes non toxic when it cures but better safe than sorry.
Since I'm asking is styrofoam safe aswell?
Usually anything that is 100% scilicone and isnt mold & mildew resistant is good, styrofoam
is safe as well, exo terra makes their backrounds out of styrofoam

Ok, thank you I just wanted to make sure cuz I dont want my frogs dieing because of the decor.
Agree with Ryan and do make sure it's 100% silicone (for building aquariums); not the mildew resistant one (for baths and kitchens). The last one will kill your frogs .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
100% silicone is safe after fully cured so long as there are no mildew-resistant chemicals in it. Styrofoam is okay, but it does have formaldehyde in it. Most pre-made styrofoam backgrounds are coated to keep them safe. I coat all styrofoam in 100% silicone and allow to dry for at least a week. There should be no smell to it once cured and it will feel like rubber.
I use GE silicone II ...

I use this one, when I first got into building my own stuff, I ended up buying Orca underwater glue from Aquarium Munster, set me back 27.99€ (36.97$). Boy, I felt stupid afterwards, be sure to look around, there are many cheap silicones that offer the same safety. The one I use now costs about 8$.
I looked at my local hardware store and they have 100% stated for aquariums. I think that should be safe but just to make sure Ill wate atleast one week until it cures completly.
Thanks for the help!
