I'm looking for a few plants to add to my terrarium and can honestly say, I know nothing about plants.
They should be able to survive 75-85 temps, high humidity and no UVB at all. Preffered from the South American region, but with my previous demands, I'm not picky.
I'd be very gratefull for any plants you can suggest. Please, no high end plants, I'd actually preffer cheaper ones, since plants always seem to die on me.
My last one was a bromelia I think and I caused it to rot from the inside, probably due to overwatering and misting combined.
Thanks ahead!
What size tank?

yeah so i am, i dont k now which ones to choose for my frog, i have a 10gal
Tank is 18x18x18 but part of it gets lost because of my own made background.
any smaller, tropical plants from walmart, home depot or lowes will work. no succulents, they will rot away. there are some smaller ferns, but none of those stores carry them. most ferns will grow too big for smaller tanks, but they will work with maintenance trimmings. trailing species you can use are ficus pumilia (creeping fig), of which there are several varieties, hoya sp., wandering jew, dischidia sp. pothos, philodendron sp. you could also use selaginella species (spike moss). some begonias grow well in vivariums. there are miniature species of orchids that are well suited for vivs as well. then you have peperomias, fittonias, syngoniums. really, the list goes on and on. most of those will grow under lower lighting conditions, with the exception of some orchids. i hope that all helps.

Wow, thanks for all the advice! I unfortunately don't have acces to any of those stores, but I live near a few good plant stores, they should be able to help me out.
I'm especially intrested in the creeping fig and don't mind the maintenance.
rats. sorry, i answered that on my phone and didn't see your location. if utilizing plant stores, try to find one that carries terrarium plants. you should be able to find many things you like

Pothos, aka Devils Ivy, is a good one, not picky about lighting, and loves water. I have a semi aquatic tank and grow the plants directly in the water. They don't need soil, the roots are supposed to remove nitrates from the water. I also have an arrowhead leaf plant that is doing very well growing in the water too.
That's really intresting, unfortunately I'l be stuck with fake plants for the time being, atleast untill I can get to a reptile convention in September. I don't want to risk buying a plant from a center tbh, I called them all up and they offer no terrarium plants and honestly said they have no idea if the plants were ever in contact with fertilizer, but they haven't personally added it since the plants were there.
So I'l be playing it safe.
