    Default Tadpole transition

So awhile ago I aquired a tadpole from a friend that we believe is an american bullfrog. We arent sure, and il post pictures when I can, but my question is that now that he is done with his metamorphosis ( his tail is completely absorbed), when should I move him to live food? And is it allright to feed him crickets?

He can eat live food now. Anything smaller than his mouth is wide. Start with crickets that you think are too small and go from there. I put my froglets on live food as soon as they emerge from the water, tail or not.

If he is pretty large feed him nothing larger than medium crickets. Adult crickets have an exoskeleton that is too hard for them to digest and will cause them trouble. Good luck with your little guy.
