I reckon SCF will know. He told me all about the nutritional values of feeders but I can't remember what was best. I just want to know if they are better than mice.

How long does it actually take for the frog to go blind if you feed it lots of chicks? I'm only giving him one a month but I was just curious as to how long it would take.

Don't think there is or will be any research on that Jack .

How come? I thought mice, chicks etc caused blindness if they are fed to frogs too much.

Carlos is right. There is no actual research on how long it takes for Cornial Lipidosis to appear. Each individual frog would would show the effects differently.

So is there even any evidence supporting the theory that mice cause corneal lipidosis?

Read Philippe De Vosjoli's books on Horned Frogs and GABFs it mentions Cornial Lipidosis being linked to feeding your frog too many mice. Cornial Lipidosis is caused by fat deposits that bulid up behind the Cornia which is not reversable and will cause blindness.
