Does anyone "out there" feed their Pac Man Frogs wild earthworms? We don't have night crawler worms in Alaska. Just a species of earthworm which may no be native.
What kind of earthworms are we talking about? Think you could find Canadian Night Crawlers in there, maybe in a fish and tackle store (make sure they are not dyed).
If soil is not exposed to chemicals like insecticides, it should be OK from that viewpoint. Still, I would keep them in a bin or similar and culture them rather than collecting from wild all the time. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
personally i wouldn't take the risk but they can be very nutritional but i see where your coming from in my point of view to solve the parasite problem breed them a generation and then feed the young as they will be captive bred and be gutloaded which will minimise all risks or you could go on ebay and buy lob worms and night crawlers in bulk for cheap if there's no pet stores near that supplies them
I believe wild red wigglers (this is the species we have in most of the US) are mildly toxic.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I will pass on the earthworms.
