I thought I would update on size for people so some comparison can be made.
Goober (above photos) has put on 430g since he was weighed in March 2013 (he was 358g), so he is growing nicely.
Had a lot of problems with him fasting though, sometimes not eating for a week to ten days which is very worrying.
He is very picky and refuses a lot of foods which is somewhat annoying as I start breeding what he likes only to have him turn his nose up a while later.
I have 1500 black field crickets and a few thousand tiger worms which he shows no interest in now!
Pickle was 80g when I weighed her in March she is now 225g so she is steadily growing, she looks like a balloon with a small head.
STILL unsure if she is a female though due to croaking and the shape of her bony bum, it is very much the shape of Goobers.
When I first housed them together Goober croaked madly for a full week, I had never heard him croak so much, he also mounted Pickle a few times.
But after that week he has not made one croak since, he barely leaves his muddy/mossy hole now, so I do not think he likes Pickle.
I know he has not croaked as I spend almost all day and night in my bedroom due to being ill, so I am around a lot.
I am beginning to think Pickle is a male but a small male? I cannot get a photo of its butt from above as I only have a laptop web-cam and its impossible
Any ideas.
Pickle is 100% female. No doubt about it.
