    Default Frog Newbie In Colorado

    Hello All!

I made an impulsive buy last night and got myself a tree frog. I think I got a Dumpy, but I'll post pictures to confirm. I knew I knew enough about frogs to get one impulsively. I do know that if I do in fact have a Dumpy, then the cage I have is too small. It's fine for the moment however as I can use it for a quarantine tank for the next few weeks and get my 20 gallon long all set up. It's good to have extra animal supplies!

At any rate, here is my little guy/girl. No name yet. I haven't tried to feed yet either as I thought being thrust into a new environment would be too much for the little one to want to eat. Feeding attempts will commence tonight after work.

I did have a question about humidity. I have it set at around 75-80%. If it is in fact a Dumpy, should I lower it? I am new to frogs so I'm being all paranoid that I'll have Raisin Frog when I get home from work. (Hey, I think frog now has a name: Raisin)

Yes it is a dumpy aka whites tree frog. Your humidity is fine.

    Welcome to the forum

    Thanks Carlos!

I am wondering if humidity higher than what's listed on care sheets would be harmful. What does everyone think?

Also, I was bad and bought myself a baby Pacman. It's stuck in the container it was sold in for the moment as I need to get my extra 10 gallon set up and I was just called into work again (what happened to having days off?). I'll be doing better research on the Pacman later on today after work. He's cute but I'm kinda afraid to pick him up. The tree frog is all nice and sweet but the Pacman seems like he's a bit more of an action guy.

Hi welcome! beautiful white. I have 2. You can tell if its a girl or boy by a spot on one of there cute toes. Can't pull how to exactly, but you should definitely look it up. I found out mine were both girls in about 5 minutes because of the helpful internet. (no breeding whites for now) Best of luck!!
