    Default Heater question

My toads are living in their tank at room temperature which is around 59 - 62f but cooler through the night. We don't have the CH on much in April.

I feel its a wee bit cold for them & they're hiding all the time.

I've found a Hydor Mini (15watt for tanks up to 10 gallons) for sale & fancy getting it for them.

Do you think this would be ok for these guys please??

That is a little too cold for FBTs. The Hydor Mini heater certainly wouldn't hurt and in a tank the size of that it might do the trick. I would place it where they can't get to it in the water.

Mmm - I've just read some reviews about these heaters, some saying that they only heat 2 degs above the room temp., so may need a better one. Can anyone recommend an efficient heater that will work in 5 inch of water and warm nicely for FBTs??

I would think so. It will make the water 78F.
