    Default DIY Gel Food?

Has anyone ever created DIY gel food for ACF or frogs in general? For ingredients I was thinking about using some of my frozen fish foods like daphia, mysis shrimp, ect with gelatin to create gel cubes to hand feed my ACF.

Good/Bad idea? Anyone ever tried this?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

I would try to find the smallest ice cube tray possible.
and puree the frozen food and use a cake decorating pipe bag with a small nozzle.

make the nox gelatin and pour into the tray leaving 1/4 empty
let it set for a minute or two.
Then using the frosting bag inject the mixture into the center of the gelatin.

That will be less prone to leak the frozen mix into the water.
You could freeze the unused for later use.

I was thinking ingredients. I have frozen Daphnia and Mysis on hand (this is mostly fed to my fish), I feel both would be good since these frogs do feed heavily on small arthropods in the wild. I am trying to make a list of more things to add to the 'mix'.

Any suggestions? I am wondering if any plant material would be beneficial, perhaps romaine lettuce (to add calcium) since plant matter would be found in the 'gut' of the arthropods they would consume in nature?

    I don't see why not.

at the moment I would keep the list short for now and see how it works.
