Feeding Tips?

I'm a new White's Tree frog owner and I am little confused on feeding. The lady at the pet store advised me to put a dozen crickets in with my frog every 2-3 days. He doesn't seem to be interested in the crickets. A few of them have died and I think he may have eaten some but I can't really tell. Is there a better way of feeding him? Also wondering what I should supplement his diet with? I've heard different things about mealworms, roaches, etc. but just wanted to get some advice first.

I don't have a camera so no pics He is in a 20 gal. tank with a few branches and fake vines as well as a water dish and the temp is around 78
