    Default Help?

So I just coaxed my toad out of her burrow to eat some worms, but she seemed different. First off she did eat the worms so she's eating well, but when she came out of her burrow her eyes were black. Just black. Clear, but black. No bronze. Anyway, when she was trying to eat the worms her hind legs kept on falling back into her burrow which she was coming out of. Maybe because it was really deep, but... Anyway, after she ate, I tried to get her to stay on land some more, but she just ran away from my hands and tweezers and went back into her burrow. Should I be concerned about this? Seriously, I don't want her in her burrow from now on.

I'm sorry Logan; but do not understand why you do not want your toad to follow it's instincts and burrow when it feels like it. If you read the threads on toads section, will see burrowing for a few days or weeks is common. There is a member with a toad that was borrowed for 7 months ! In my opinion we need to ensure the enclosure parameters match out frogs needs and then let them be. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

They're nocturnal so keep the hide. My cane toad whichs behaviour is the same only comes out at night.

Oh okay. Ii's just different now that she's in a new tank. She used to be diurnal in her 10 gallon and she never burrowed in it even though there was 6 inches if dirt. Well, thanks, I'll let my toad be happy in her burrow.
