Hoods and terrariums - question

I recently acquired a 18x18x12 exo terra. While shopping around for hoods, I discovered the exo terra hood for it only has 1 switch. Does anyone know if the 18" zoo med terrarium hood (with 2 switches!) will fit the exo terra nicely, or will it be loose fitting? Looking to order it online, but concerned it will not fit!

Hello and welcome to FF! Maybe you can go to local store and check. I do know that the 12 in. ZooMed top fits the 12 in. ExoTerra terrarium). Fit is not as tight as their branded top and there is a small gap; but it rest well without wobbles.

Myself also prefer the ZooMeds because of individual switches (on 18") and higher capacity bulbs (60W versus 25W). Good luck !
