Mints

2 -P terribilis "mints" arrived this AM. They are just fine. It was a caring and smooth transaction
I picked them up at the FedEx hub at 9 :00, was home by 9:20, they were in their quarantine tank by 9:30.

They are out and about and having a peanut and jelly sandwich and a glass of milk for lunch
(kidding of course !)

They are adorable.
Quick little peak ! Shhhhhhhhhhh they are resting!

Terrible pics.....sorry.... But, I don't want to bother them.

I wanted froglets. Even younger would have been ok.
The are very pretty. At least few weeks apart in age? But not sure.

Their color reminds me of the iridescent exoskeleton on those wacky beetles that are around all summer.
Like little bubbles in the sunlight or peacock feathers!

They ate well today.
After lights out, they both headed off the ground a few inches under the leaves hanging over their hide.

Moving day is right around the corner!

Jr Mint's are adjusting and growing nicely.

Their permanent home. Just needs a few finishing touches.
Have to keep an eye on the temp and mister settings for a bit.

-planning ( had to wait for my background from Pet-Tech ( Reptile Outpost)



-vines need some growing in - they will grab onto the top edge of the background
- I have a few of the white stones in their quarantine tank. They like to sit on them - silly heads.
It's hard to tell from the photo... but the area where the stones are is much lower, has less soil, two 'marginal' plants, mini mondo grass, and is very open.



Might need to add a small leaf philo ( silver spotted) to drape over the wood?
They like to sleep in the leaves.

-the entire inside/bottom of the wood is open- great hiding area.
- they don't hide much , though. They seem to like being in the open areas.

Yes... I did have it drilled. $20 .. It's worth it.
The back - not the bottom.

I think I will move them next weekend?
The aquarium sealant is set- but I want to be 100% .
Plus it will give me a week to fuss w/the mist king.
I'ts misting the moreltii and my plant tank as well.
I have to find a happy setting for all.

This is especially nice coming fromFF's resident pro 'viv contractor'.
I'll see how the next few days go.
Perhaps I could put them in before next week end?

the mondo grass should do well with a wet substrate. it is more of a marginal anyway. petstores sell it as an aquatic, but it just rots underwater eventually. i thought i saw a. coffeefolia in there

i love black jungle's plants. i can't wait to start building again, so i can place a huge order! a few more months yet
