I was wondering if American Toads bask like turtles and lizards do?

Nope, they are usually hiden during the day. Toads also prefer cooler temps than frogs do. Please read the following is you plan to keep them. http://herptiles.consulnetjdm.dyndns...icanuscare.htm and/or Frog Forum - Toad Basics - Keeping ground-dwelling Toads. A care sheet for Bufo, Anaxyrus, Spea, Scaphiopus, Ollotis, Alytes, Pelobates disagree with the superworms, mealworms sparingly so you don't have to worry about impaction.

Thank you. I didnt think that they did. And i had toads last year but Zalt i found at the beginning of June and he was acting weird so i thought i had a really dumb toad but he seems to be getting better. For the first week and a bit he kept going on the hidey spot and trying to jump and dig his way out. Also do toads get lonely?
