    Unhappy WTF sick help!

Hello, my WTF Mr.Jelly slept in a weird place yesterday. Today, he has been in his water and won't get out. He was fine and ate and was hopping around last night but, today I noticed some droppings near the water dish and the seem to have white little dots crawling around. We just experienced a move 2 weeks ago but he does not seemed stressed out. He is by himself in a 12x12x18 terrarium and I have had him for about 1 year and 3 months. Please help, I will try to post pictures later but should I get the droppings out ASAP or save them for a fecal exam? I feed him daily with a calcium dusting every Thursday. Is he sick?

Hi Savannah! Little white dots could be springtails which live off soil and stuff in it or mites. If the last; they could pester your frog and cause problems. Do you see any on frogs back? Please answer these questions to try and pinpoint other problems. Thank you !

    Hi Savannah,
    How are you ?
Are you sure the "white little dots crawling around" on the poop were not springtails or isopods?

    He looks good.

It's difficult to see these in the photo.
If you are not sure, take a fecal sample to a herp vet for testing, a you mentioned doing.
If it's positive (and a parasite is detected ) , I'm sure you know, the treatment is typically very simple.

You should to change to de-chlorinated water for his soaking dishes.
    ie Aqauize:
Exo Terra : Aquatize / Terrarium Water Conditioner
It is very simple to use.. 8 drops /gallon of tap water. Fill a few gallon water jugs at a time to use for his water dish(s).
    Plus, it's cheaper !!!!

Your enclosure volume is 10 gallons. A minimun of 20G in vertical disposition is required for a White. What is your frog lenght from snout to vent (SVL).

    Temperature: 76- 79

Need to raise daily temperature to 85F. At night you can let it fall from 68-75F.

    Food- Crickets ( 1 daily)
Calcium/ Vitamin: Reptivite once a week on 1 cricket

One cricket daily is very little nutrition for a White frog. How long has frog been eating only 1 cricket? If this is just recent, how many crickets did it normally eat? I've not used Reptivite but normal dusting is calcium 2X and vitamins 1X in different days with off day in between. Also, you would dust all the animal food for that day.

Lighting: Natural Light, used to have light and heat lamp but we had to move and haven't set it up yet.

You need to set-up your heat lamp ASAP.

    Droppings?: Today

Recommend take droppings to veterinary for fecal analysis to rule out parasites....
Went ahead and made some recommendations and asked some more questions above. Please try to raise frog's enclosure temperature right away, thanks .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Thank you Lynn i am good! Im still not sure whetever the were springtails or isopods. I am hopefully going to clean his cage tommorow because I sadly have not cleaned it im a while:/ I probably will stick to spring water because i used distilled water for my old WTF and i think that id what made him pass. Carlos, thank you for all of your helpful advice i immediately set up hid UTH and heat lamp, he crawled out of his water for about 1 hour and ate 1 cricket and was hopping around but is now back in his water:/ I have been trying to buy a new cage but my parents aren't allowing me to yet but i hopefully will be able to quite soon. He has always ate 1 large cricket a night I wasnt able to measure him though. I will also look into the vitiamin/ calcium. Thanks again guys for being so helpful

Also looks like maybe he could use a bigger water dish so it covers his back. That might be why he spends more time in the dish. And as Carlos said, he needs a bigger home, check your local craigslist for great deals.
