    Default Loose Bufo

There's a Bufo cognatus loose in my apartment somewhere and I can't find it. I welcome any suggestions please.

    Hmm...
Easier said than done; but turn all the lights on and check in all the dark areas. If you can just work through areas you may be able to find it. I would focus on the darker, moister areas. Maybe even creating one would work. Other than that, there's not much you can do.

    Best of Luck,
    Alex

I would put out a bowl a water, just in case you don't find him right away.

Thanks for the suggestions. He turned up in a dark bag for an air mattress. I've found amphibians seem to like bags for some reason.

Glad you found him, John. So, has the saying been changed from "letting the cat out of the bag" to "letting the Bufo out of the bag"? Sorry, couldn't help myself on that one lol. Maybe you should toad proof a room, and let him explore for a while. The B. valiceps that I have love to do that, and as a bonus, they catch any insects that they find while they're at it.

That's something to consider when I have a bigger home!
